Monkey and The Fish

The Fish lurked on the bottom, pec fins slowly circling as he eyed the surface of the pond, waiting for a chance to eat.  A water spider zipped along, and came in range of the fish senses, and he pounced, savouring the meal.  Stopping on the surface, he observed a strange shape on the shoreline, a beast walking on hind-legs, but using arms and hands to steady its gait.  Fish eyed this creature, and slowly drifted towards it. In focus now, fish observed the creature stop, and look towards him.  Frightened, fish sunk below the surface, hoping not to be seen.  A brief passing, the fish eyed the creature again.

And found himself being stared back at… Monkey had been alerted to the sound of the fish eating, and with keen eye and more inquisitive mind had sought the source of the noise.
